Volant - Melanie Ann Crews, 65, of State Route 956 in Volant, Pennsylvania, died on Monday, April 21, 2025, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 30, 1959, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Clyde W. Fisher and Ria R. (Hookway) Fisher. Her mother survives in New Castle.

Mrs. Crews married Ronald R. Crews on Sept. 2, 2006. He survives at home.

She worked at Liberty Mutual in the clerical department and AT&T in the relay department.

Mrs. Crews was a member of Evangel Community Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her church family, and she loved her cats. She also enjoyed watching TV.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, MacKenzie Holcomb and her husband, David, of Conneaut, Ohio, and Michael Ellison of Farrell, Pennsylvania; and two brothers, Thomas Fisher and Chuck Fisher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Fisher.

Funeral services will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Evangel Community Church, 1530 Harlansburg Road, New Castle, PA. Pastor Harry Edenhofer will officiate.
