New Castle, PA - Michele L. Gipson, 69, of New Castle passed away the evening of Jan. 4, 2026, with her family by her side.

Michele was born Dec. 6, 1956, in Sharon, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late William and Helen (MacIntosh) Mitteff.

She was married to Phillip Gipson on June 16, 1990. They were married for 35 years and together for 42 years. He survives at home.

Mrs. Gipson was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Gipson retired after 28 years of service as a cashier at Beer-4-Less. Michele was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she enjoyed cooking for her family and enjoyed playing the PA Lottery. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Phillip, Michele is survived by four sons, Dan Mitteff of Hookstown, Pennsylvania, Michael Gipson, Sam Gipson and David (Amber) Gipson, all of New Castle; stepson, Adam Gipson of Seaford, Virginia; brother, Brian Mitteff of Kissimmee, Florida; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Michele was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mia Mitteff; two sisters; and one brother.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle PA. 16101

A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Pastor John Fraser will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
