Bessemer - Nancy R.Shaffer, 90, of Bessemer died Friday, June 6, 2025, at Masternick Memorial Health Care.
Nancy was born April 4, 1935, in Bessemer, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Carlo and Jessie (Carletti) Marangoni. Nancy was a homemaker, a Sunday school teacher and the secretary at First Covenant Church.
She loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Before all of this, Nancy worked for Bessemer Cement, where she met and married her husband, William Shaffer, on July 18, 1959. He died May 15, 2020.
Nancy is survived by son, Stephen (Brenda) Shaffer; daughter, Julie (Tom) Miller; son, Mark (Amy) Shaffer; brother, Ray (Carol) Marangoni; brother-in-law, Gary Shaffer; her grandchildren, Josh Shaffer, Justin (Theresa) Shaffer, Kylee (Bob) Marino, Michael (Michele Salandino) Miller, Shannon (Evan) Bollinger, Alexa (Danny) Pape and Frank (Kess) Shaffer; and great-grandchildren, Roman, Lilly, Wrenley, Josie and Clara.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Dan, and his wife, Virginia Marangoni; and her brother-in-law, Ken Hunt.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak St. in Bessemer, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the First Covenant Church, Bessemer, Pennsylvania.
Burial will take place in the First Covenant Cemetery.
