New Castle - Olive "Joan" McCue, 86, of South Ray Street died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
She was born March 7, 1939, in Mercer, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Carol King and Grace.
She was married to the late Charles Lee McCue, who died in May 1981.
Mrs. McCue worked at Golden Hill Nursing Home as a dietary aide for 30 years. She loved working and, above all, she loved being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy J. Iorio and her husband, Ronald, of Kennerdell, Pennsylvania, and Tracy J. Cooper and her husband, Robert, of New Castle; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard King, Edward King and Richard Shaffer; and one sister, Marilyn Ross.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas L. McCue and Timothy C. McCue; and a number of brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave. Funeral services will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate.
