Opal McClymonds Obituary

Opal Irene Grim McClymonds, 95, of Portersville passed away at her residence on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021.

She was born in Ellwood City on Feb. 2, 1926, to Richard Reed Grim and Amy Elizabeth Miller Grim.

She married Paul E McClymonds. Opal and Paul were married 26 years until his death in 1980.

She worked as a Avon sales representative for more than 57 years.

She was a member of Zion Baptist Church at Isle.

She enjoyed embroidery work, travel and loved fellowship with the "Keenagers."

Survivors include her sister, Ella M. Barkley of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania; niece, Loretta Wiskeman of West Sunbury, who was her caregiver for the past year and a half; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Eula Stevenson and Jeanette Buchanan; and brother, Hollis Grim.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, Pa., 16057, with Pastor Ben Oesterling, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, presiding.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Portersville Bible Church Cemetery.
