New Castle, PA - Patricia Ann Pugh, 99, of New Castle, passed away peacefully under hospice care on Saturday morning, Aug. 2, 2025, in her home.

Mrs. Pugh was born July 16, 1926, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Vatter) O'Leary. She attended St. Mary's Parochial Grade School and later graduated from New Castle High School in 1944.

Pat later earned her registered nurse diploma in 1947 after completing her training at the New Castle Hospital School of Nursing.

For more than 45 years, she worked as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital in New Castle.

Pat was a lifelong member of the Holy Spirit Parish of New Castle - St. Mary's Church.

Her husband of 24 years, Harold "Ming" Pugh, whom she married in 1948, passed away in 1972.

Pat is survived by two daughters, Nancy Pruent (Patrick) and Judy Robinson; and a daughter-in-law, Gayle Pugh, all of New Castle; two brothers, Jack O'Leary, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and Donald O'Leary (Jane), of Indianapolis, Indiana; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Pugh; a sister, Peg Brown; three brothers, William, Robert and Joseph O'Leary.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Holy Spirit Parish - St. Mary's Church, New Castle.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Union Township.
