Paula Eileen Skoczylas, 80, of Chewton went to be with her Lord and personal Savior Jesus Christ on Oct. 4, 2023, surrounded by family in her home.
Born June 21, 1943, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Virginia Stevens.
Paula graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961 and went on to work as a baker at a local store.
She married her beloved husband, Jim Skoczylas, on Aug. 12, 1967, and they celebrated 56 beautiful years of marriage together.
Paula was an active member at Park Gate Baptist Church, where she was a part of the Missionary Boosters and multiple other activities.
She enjoyed spending time at her home, hosting and cooking Sunday dinners for her family. She cherished playing dominos on Friday nights with close friends, shopping and going out for dinner and ice cream. Paula loved spending time together with her husband and family at their camp, but most of all, watching her grandchildren grow while attending all of their athletic or school events.
In addition to her husband, Paula is survived by her children, Cindy (Chris) Seaburn of New Castle, Melissa (Mark) Ours of Beaver Falls and Matthew (Bethany) Skoczylas of Volant; grandchildren, Joseph (Vanessa) Seaburn, Samantha Seaburn, Nathaniel Ours, Della Skoczylas and Helena Skoczylas; and one precious great-granddaughter, Emilia Seaburn.
There are also many nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own children.
Along with her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Daellenbach.
Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, at Park Gate Baptist Church, Ellwood City. A service will immediately follow. A procession will then be made for an interment at Clinton Cemetery for those who wish to attend.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Park Gate Baptist Church Global Outreach.
