A PRAYER

Dear God, would you please show me the way

As I arise and begin another new day?

Let me always remember to do a good deed

For those who are ill or have some other need.

As I awake in the morning and look at the skies

I'm so very thankful I can seek with my eyes.

And as I listen to the birds' happy song

I hope and pray that I never go wrong.

So dear Lord as your light shines from above,

Please help me to be kind and forever to love.
