Philip James Nerti Obituary

Philip James Nerti, 70, of Oakdale, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at his residence.

Born June 18, 1954, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Phillip A. Nerti and Anna Mae Frickanish Nerti of North Beaver Township.

Philip graduated from Duquesne with a bachelor's in science and then from the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business where he earned his MBA. He was an active member of the Archangel Gabriel Parish in McKees Rocks. Philip held numerous positions throughout his life as a pharmacist, and then he moved into administration as the Vice President of Provider PPI LLC, Director of H.C. Pharmacy Central, Vice President of the Highmark Pharmacy, Vice President at Protoco Partners Pharmacy Services and served as a preceptor for Pharmacy Programs at Duquesne University. Philip was an avid golfer and a Pittsburgh sports enthusiast.

Survivors include his mother, Anna Mae; brother, David (Cheryl) Nerti, of Chewton; two nieces, Nicole (Justin) Scott and Angela (Alex) Elbanna, and their families.

Friends will be received Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Vitus Catholic Church on Oct. 18, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Aaron Kriss officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in New Castle.
