Phyllis M. Bucker Ango, 62 years young, of North Beaver Township passed away peacefully with her son and family by her side on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, after complications from a long-term illness. Born Oct. 9, 1952, in Ellwood City, she was a strong, vibrant lady with a heart of gold. She had a passion for people and a knack to make everyone laugh and smile. She had a passion for people and a knack to make everyone laugh and smile. She most recently worked at K&D's Corner Stop in Bessemer, in which she previously owned as Shop-An-Go. A charitable woman, she donated to several charities throughout the years. She enjoyed performing in the theatre, bowling, comedy, gambling, traveling, reading, cooking, music, soap operas, decorating, watching QVC/HSN, and most importantly, spending time with her dog, Brody. She leaves behind her son, Christofer Ango and his partner Eric, of Charlotte, N.C.; her parents, Charles and Josephine Bucker of New Castle; two brothers, Carl Bucker and his wife, Renee, of Lakeland, Fla., and Chuck Bucker and his wife, Vickie of Hermitage; and her sister, JoAnne Bucker of Edinburg. She also leaves behind several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and hundreds of friends she's made over the years. She was preceded in death by her former husband, William S. Ango Jr., and her sister, Carolyn Stockman. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A blessing service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Larry Adams. She would like to be remembered as the fun-loving, funny young lady she was. Her son encourages everyone to remember and cherish their fun and memorable times with her.
