Ramona Lisa Alvarado, 60, of New Castle passed away on Sept. 21, 2022, at her residence.

Ramona was born on March 9, 1962, in New York, New York, the daughter of the late Lillie Joe Talley Alvarado.

Ramona earned her GED and was a graduate of Keystone Job Corps Center, where she earned a medical assistant degree.

Ramona was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her sibling. She also loved playing spades and dominos.

She is survived by her sisters, Cornelia of Youngstown, Dawana of New Castle, Yoletta, Yolanda and Coletta Alvarado, all of Youngstown; brothers, Erik of New Castle, and Zeon and Lloyd Alvarado, both of Youngstown; and a host of aunts, one uncle, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

In addition to her grandparents, Lois Rebecca Mock Talley and Marvin Talley, and her mother, Lillie Joe Talley Alvarado, Ramona was preceded in death by her three uncles, Leroy, Willie and Zollie Talley; her aunt, Rosel Talley; and her cousins, Willie Talley Jr., Zamara Stelter, Talley and Natasha Talley.

Family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St., followed by a service at 1 p.m.
