Raymond J Wojtowicz
Raymond J. Wojtowicz, 78, of Edinburg passed away the afternoon of Jan. 23, 2020, with his family at his side.
Raymond was born on Dec. 20, 1941, in New Castle. He was a son of the late Cashmere G. and Ann Kowlek Wojtowicz.
He was married to the former Theresa Zuzow for 48 years.
Raymond was of the Protestant faith, and was a member of New Bedford Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
He graduated from Union High School.
Following graduation, Raymond enlisted in the Army on June 16, 1961, in Pittsburgh. Raymond earned the rank of SP4 on Oct. 18, 1963. Mr. Wojtowicz was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and was honorably discharged on June 3, 1964, at Fort Hamilton, New York.
Mr. Wojtowicz retired after numerous years of service as a laborer at several local manufacturing plants, among them were former Rockwell International, Youngstown Sheet and Tube and eventually retiring from Roemer Industry in Masury, Ohio. He most recently was employed with the Lawrence County Catholic Cemetery Association.
Raymond enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle, watching boxing on television and caring for his pets.
In addition to his wife, Theresa, Raymond is survived by his son, Raymond (Holly) Wojtowicz, II of New Castle; his sister, May Ann (Don) Pilch of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mr. Wojtowicz was preceded in death by his niece, Diane Pilch.
Following his wishes, no services are scheduled at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St.
