Richard V. Fisher Obituary

Richard V. Fisher, 85, of Perry Highway in Portersville passed away on Aug. 13, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, Pennsylvania.

Dick was born in New Castle on Sept. 14, 1930, to the late Vernon T. and Alda Jane Fisher.

He married the former Florence Louise Harlan, who preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 2008.

Dick was a dairy farmer and lifelong member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Guern-sey Breeders Association.

Mr. Fisher is survived by his son, Gary L. "Fish" Fisher of Portersville; his daughter; Cindy L. Speer of Portersville; eight grandchildren; and his siter; Betty Jane McKean of Butler.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn McFarland.

Visitation was scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Judith A. Wilson, church pastor.

Interment will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Services have been entrusted to the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, New Castle.
