Richard M. "Dick" Martin, 80, of Washington Township., Lawrence County, Volant, PA passed away on Friday morning, March 27, 2020, following a brief illness.

He was born in New Castle, PA on April 13, 1939, to Robert M. and Helen Neal Martin.

He married Arlene Martin on July 1, 1972.

He was a farmer all of his life. After leaving his work on the farm, he went to hauling milk locally and cattle nationally. His love of trucking took him all over the United States.

He was a member of the East Brook ECO Presbyterian Church and enjoyed attending Plain Grove ECO Presbyterian Church.

He was a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of New Castle; Syria Shrine of Pittsburgh; Lawrence Caravan, No 15 of Syria Shriners and the New Castle F. & A.M. Lodge 642.

He was a member of various tractor pulling clubs, where he pulled tractors for over 50 years. He was a member of the National and Pennsylvania Brown Swiss Cattle Association. He loved showing his Brown Swiss Cattle at the Lawrence County Fair. He showed The National Brown Swiss Grand Champion at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, WI.

He was a member of the Republican Committee of Lawrence County for many years. He was a Board Member of the Jameson Care Center and a member of numerous other organizations.

Survivors include his wife Arlene at home; son, Jeffrey R. (Andrea) Martin of Volant; daughter, Sandra L. (Robert) McCrumb of Volant; 4 grandchildren, Taelor and Johnna Martin; Connor and Parker McCrumb.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David.

Funeral Services will be private due to the public health circumstances with interment to follow in Fair Oaks Cemetery, New Wilmington. The family may hold a public Celebration of Life Service at a later time. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Erie. 1645 West 8th St. Erie, PA 16505.
