Robert R. Carr Obituary

New Castle, PA - Robert R. Carr, 92, of New Castle, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, in UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.

Mr. Carr was born Jan. 23, 1934, in New Castle, a son of the late Norman and Bessie (Bevan) Carr, and he attended New Castle High School.

Robert worked as a chipper for the former Mesta Machine Company, New Castle, until his retirement in 1983. After retirement, he worked in the clubhouse at the New Castle Country Club for many years.

His first wife, the former Betty Rishel, passed away in 1986. Robert would later marry the former Betty Garrett. She passed away in 2018.

He was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 51, New Castle.

In his spare time, Robert enjoyed attending car shows and joining his friends at McDonald's. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family.

Robert is survived by his two children, Ronald Carr (Edna), New Castle, and Robin Carr, Ellwood City; two grandchildren, Ronald E. Carr and Nicole Dyke (Dale), both New Castle; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Laynee; three stepdaughters, Joann Zentiska and Julie Robinson, both Neshannock, and Jean Watson (Dave), New Wilmington; and five stepgrandchildren, Paul and Krista Robinson, Amanda Voland, and David and Chris Watson.

In addition to his parents and wives, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Carr.
