New Castle, PA - On Dec. 18, 2025, Roger Robert Plotts entered eternal rest after 86 wonderful years.

His journey on earth has ended, but a new one has begun — one that reunites him in heaven with his wife, where love continues beyond this life.

Robert, better known to everyone as "Bobby," was born Sept. 3, 1939, in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, to the late Lester and Margaret Hendryx Plotts.

He was a member of the Union High School Class of 1957 and proudly kept in contact with his remaining classmates through monthly lunches.

Bobby married his high school sweetheart, Yvonne Capece Plotts, on July 30, 1960, and they shared 57 years of unconditional love before her passing March 6, 2018.

After high school, Bob continued with the family business, Plotts Transmission, which he proudly owned and operated for over 30 years. Throughout those years, Bob nurtured hundreds of friendships with his customers. He was kind to everyone and could go anywhere and find a familiar face or hear someone say, "Oh yeah, I know Bobby Plotts."

From a very young age until his last day, Bobby was a car enthusiast, dabbling in drag racing, stock car racing and flipping cars throughout his retirement. There truly was not much that Bobby could not fix. He met each project with determination and patience, always leaving things better than he found them.

Known for his kind heart and selflessness, Bobby would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His generosity wasn't loud or showy — it was simply who he was.

As an active attendee of First United Brethren Church, Bobby was a faithful servant, and we know he is now precious in the sight of his Lord.

Bob is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were the love of his life: daughter, Kimberly (Mark) Burns and their children, Mark (Amy) Burns and Karlye (Ethan) McClimans; daughter, Rhonda Covelli and her children, Linsey (Wade) Savage and Ryan Covelli; daughter, Renee (Steve) Stasko and their children, Stephen Stasko, Melissa (Martin) Lepkowski and Sarah (Kenny) Stasko; and his son, Roger Plotts.

He is also survived by five great-granddaughters, Macey, Evelyn, Claire, Icelynn and Chloe.

He is further survived by his siblings, James Plotts of Coudersport, Pennsylvania, Sally Vesco of New Castle, Pennsylvania, and Wayne Plotts of New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Margaret Plotts; his wife, Yvonne Capece Plotts; and his sister, Jean Simpson.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Stephenson of First United Brethren Church officiating. Entombment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
