Ronald Joseph Alexander, 39, of New Castle passed away the morning of Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Jameson Hospital. Born on Feb. 1, 1977, in New Castle, he was a son of Ronald and Theresa Gabriel Alexander, who survive at home. A 1995 graduate of New Castle High School, Ronald played for the Red Hurricane basketball team. He attended Slippery Rock University and Geneva College. Ronald worked as a salesman for Scheidemantle Motors. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching sports and horse races, and going to the casino, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his nephews, Anthony Miller, Dominic Miller, Vinny Miller and Vito Yeropoli. Ronald will always be remembered as a great friend to all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Ronald is survived by his sisters, Tracy Yeropoli and her husband, Vito, of Hillsville and Kristie Miller and her husband, Tony, of New Castle; his aunts and uncles, Rita and Bobby George, Anthony and Alexis Gabriel, George Gabriel, Debra and Richard DeBlasio, Barbara and Tom Wildauer and Wayne Alexander; his nephews; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James (Gebo) and Mary Gabriel; his paternal grandparents, Stanley and Ann Alexander; his uncle, James Gabriel; and his cousin, Tony Gabriel. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday to attend a funeral liturgy at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev.
