Ronald Bongivengo Sr., 81, of New Castle passed away the morning of March 19, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Feb. 19, 1944, in New Castle, Ron was the son of the late Frank J. and Sue C. Caiazza Bongivengo.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife, the former Susan L. Stoner. The two were married Aug. 24, 1963.

Ron was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St Vitus Church.

He had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Ron was an avid sports fan, especially of the Alabama football team. He always enjoyed playing cards with his wife.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Ron's greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his children, Tammy Wilson (Gary), Ronald Bongivengo Jr. (Lorinda Link), Joseph Bongivengo (Camille Romeo) and John Bongivengo (Jeanna Bashara); his brother, Frank P. Bongivengo; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashly Bongivengo.

Honoring his wishes, services are private.
