Ronald R. Carr Obituary

New Castle, PA - Ronald R. Carr, 71, of New Castle, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, in UPMC Passavant-McCandless, Pittsburgh.

Mr. Carr was born June 6, 1954, in New Castle, a son of the late Robert and Betty (Rishel) Carr.

He was a graduate of New Castle High School.

He worked in the shipping department for the former Universal Rundle, Mahoningtown, until his retirement.

Ronald found joy in exercising, fishing, playing softball and attending car shows, where he would occasionally show off his beloved 1964 Corvette. He enjoyed walking his dog, Jackie, riding his bike along local trails, and he always looked forward to his weekly Saturday tradition of meeting his best friend, Shawn Million, for tea at Sheetz.

His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He married his wife, the former Edna Latos, on April 12, 1980, and together they shared more than 45 years of marriage. She survives at home.

In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by his two children, Ronald E. Carr and Nicole Dyke (Dale), both of New Castle; sister, Robin Carr, Ellwood City; two grandchildren, Jordan and Laynee; and brother-in-law, Edward Latos, Shenango Township.
