Ronald Earl Eade Obituary
New Castle - Ronald Earl Eade, 73, entered peacefully into the presence of His Lord and Savior on Feb. 11, 2026.
He was born Aug. 28, 1952, to Russell Earl and Edna Cathryn (Gamble) Eade from Grapeville, Pennsylvania.
He graduated from Hempfield High School is 1971 and from Fort Wayne Bible College in 1975 with a degree in Pastoral Ministries.
In 1975, he pastored his first church, Archbold Missionary Church, in Archbold, Ohio, where he met Pamela Lantz and they were married Aug. 14, 1976. They also spent the past 50 years pastoring the following churches: Wilmore Community Church in Wilmore, Kentucky, Strongsville Missionary Church in Strongsville, Ohio, and Church of Genesis in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
In addition to pastoring these churches, Ron was involved with the Missionary Church executive board over the years.
Through the years he had many other jobs and ministries that he loved, which include principal of New Castle Christian Academy and chaplain for both the New Castle police department and for the Pennsylvania State Police.
He and Pam were blessed with two children: Tamara (Joel) Leininger Clarksville, Tennessee, and Ryan (Dana) Eade, of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren, Nolan Leininger, Layla Eade and Rennan Eade.
Also surviving are sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ned and Sandy Wyse of Archbold, Ohio, and Jon and Dawn Lugbill of Archbold, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Rob (Melissa) Cope, Megan (Jay) Burkholder, Jamie (Megan) Wyse, Tara (Nate) Schroeder, Malinda Lugbill; and 14 great-nephews and great-nieces.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Cathryn Eade; his parents-in-law, Bob and Charlene Lantz; and his sister, Elaine Cope.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, aides and EMTs who cared for Ron over the years, especially Hillman Cancer Center and Quality Life Services for their excellent care and compassion.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, PA. There will be a family interment at Fair Oaks Cemetery, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. There will be a celebration of life service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 110 E Market St., Mercer, PA, with Reverend Catherine Craley officiating.
