Rosalie J. Ferraro Obituary

New Castle, PA - Rosalie J. Ferraro, 88, of New Castle, passed away peacefully the morning of April 4, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Born Jan. 6, 1938, in New Castle, Rosalie was the daughter of the late Sol and Rose Lombardo DiLullo.

On Sept. 14, 1957, Rosalie married her beloved husband, Ronald P. Ferraro. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 2013.

Rosalie was a devoted member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church, where she was active in the Ladies Guild and participated in many church activities throughout the years.

She was a wonderful baker who found joy in making cookies for her family and for many in the local community, and she will be fondly remembered for her kindness and generosity. Above all, Rosalie was a loving mother and grandmother whose greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family.

Rosalie is survived by her two children, Ronald Ferraro (Nancy) and Renee Ferraro; and her two grandchildren, Amber and Bradley.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rosalie was preceded in death by her sister, Delores "Dolly" Phillips; and her brother, David DiLullo.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 3000 Wilmington Road. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. Thursday for Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Parkside Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at The Grove at New Wilmington for the care and compassion shown to Rosalie during her time there.
