New Castle, PA - Rose M. DeCaria, 98, of New Castle passed away the morning of Oct. 5, 2025, at Avalon Nursing Center.

Born Oct. 7, 1926, in New Castle, Rose was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Filomena Tucciarone Grauso.

On Aug. 10, 1946, Rose married her beloved husband, Dominick J. DeCaria. Dominick preceded her in death April 5, 2010.

Rose was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church.

In the early years, Rose loved to go dancing with her husband.

She also enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing.

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rose's greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Rose is survived by her two children, Philip J. DeCaria (Andrea) and Saundra DeBernardo; three grandchildren, Michele DeCola (Ron), Kim DeCaria (Wendy Parkin) and Susan Valenti (Jim); and four great-grandchildren, Anthony DeCola, Mia DeCola, Trever Valenti and Tyler Valenti.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Ernie Grauso Sr.; her sister, Martha Martello; and her son-in-law, Arthur DeBernardo.

Honoring her wishes, a private blessing service will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. Deacon John Carran will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
