Rosemarie R. Stunkard Obituary

Rosemarie R. Stunkard, 79, of New Castle passed away the evening of Sept. 2, 2018, at Edison Manor.

Born on Aug. 27, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John J. and Helen Swartz Pecovish. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel M. Stunkard, who passed away May 13, 2008.

Rosemarie retired as a phone operator for Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. Rosemarie also belonged to the American Business Women's Association.

Rosemarie is survived by her children, Michele Sementilli of Wesley Chapel, Fla., Karlin Newton of Leesburg, Fla., Amy Fryer of New Zealand and Michael J. Stunkard of Deridder, La.; her sisters, Virginia Vigliotti of Somerset, Pa., Marycarol Knapp of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Betty Ann Jones of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John J. Pecovish.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. to noon at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. Memorial services will be conducted Monday at noon at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Michael Spicuzza of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church.
