Russell J. Malcolm, 72, of North Beaver Township passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
Born Feb. 17, 1953, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Russell B. and Margaret Ednie Malcolm.
Russell worked at B&W in Koppel and Aliquippa. He then had a deer processing business and retired from Giant Eagle on Wilmington Road as a meat cutter. He was a member of Divine Grace Parish Holy Redeemer Church.
An avid and accomplished coon hunter, he raised coon dogs and traveled to many competitions. He was a lifelong member of the Western PA Fox and Coon Hunters and the president of the "Gone to the Dogs CHA."
Russell was a proud 20-year survivor of a double lung transplant.
Survivors include three daughters, Christina (Jeffrey) Norris, Jennifer (Antonio) Malcolm-Chavez and Lisa (fiancé Thomas Boughter) Harris; son, Robert (Nicole) Malcolm; four sisters, Julie (Mark) Strosnider, Karen Lemanski, Mary Jo Frelin and Donna (Gian) Bascoe; three brothers, Michael (Judy), Walter (Mary) and Robert (Peri) Malcolm; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Russell B. Malcolm; and granddaughters, Abigail and Cassidy Harris.
Visiting hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum. A Blessing Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
