Ruth Lee Adams, 77, transitioned into Glory on Dec. 29, 2018, in the company of her loving husband, Melvin Adams.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1941, in Durham, N.C., to Johnny and Lucy Glenn.
She was employed as a home healthcare worker for Lawrence County Housing Authority.
Ruth will lie in state on Friday, Jan. 4, at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ, 1119 S. Jefferson St., from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The Homegoing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ.
Complete arrangements will be announced by Charlotte A. Sheffield Funeral Home, 454 Chestnut St., New Castle.
