Sara J. (Sally) Rickenbach, 73, of New Castle, died Nov. 5, 2024, in UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Sara was born April 5, 1951, in New Castle to the late Samuel and Marie (Beatty) Craig.

She received her bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock College.

Sara was a school bus driver and 4-H leader.

She loved to travel with her husband; they just returned from a trip to Maine.

She was a member of Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church, a former elder and most recently a Deacon, and a member of the choir. She was a good example of Christ in a way that she was always helping people.

Sara is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles "Chip" Rickenbach, whom she married June 16, 1973; and sisters, Sandy Maiden (Jim), Susan Craig and Sheila Brest (Dennis).

A public memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 16, 2024, at Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church.

Sara was laid to rest in Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deacons Fund or the Cemetery Fund at the church.
