Shirley R. Kunselman, 91, of Shenango Township, went home to the Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Carriage Manor in New Castle.
She was born on June 29, 1931, in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Myron and Ethel Phoebe (Wohlbaugh) Crawford.
She married the love of her life, Harry B. Kunselman, on Sept. 30, 1950. They were married for 51 years until his passing on Feb. 17, 2002.
Shirley was a member of Independent Methodist Church in New Castle.
She was an excellent baker and loved baking cookies and making fudge for family and friends at Christmas.
She was also an excellent seamstress and loved to design and sew for her family.
Her most cherished moments were spent with her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Wendy S. (Terry) Grimes and a son, Gregory D. Kunselman, both of Shenango Township; three grandsons, Erik (Toni) Kunselman, Jonathan (Michelle) Kunselman and Kristofer (fiancee Audree Rayl) Grimes; and great-grandson Matthew Case.
The last of her family, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Jean Smith and Lois "Toot" Dean; three brothers, Myron "Buck," Vern and Paul Crawford; stepfather, Jessie Clyde Milliron; and her daughter-in-law, Laurie Kunselman.
Visiting hours will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023, until the 7 o'clock funeral conducted by the Rev. Matthew Bupp at Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum.
Interment will follow in Castle View Memorial Park.
