Stephen J. Frketich Obituary

Stantonville, Tennessee - Stephen J. Frketich, 71, of Stantonville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home Feb. 9, 2026.

Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Stephen carried his Midwestern roots with him throughout his life. He was a man who found joy in the simple and meaningful things — the companionship of animals, the beauty of the great outdoors and the satisfaction of working with his hands.

He especially loved working on anything with a motor and wheels, always ready to tinker, fix or improve whatever project was in front of him.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn J. Frketich and Joseph M. Frketich; and his sister, Susan M. Frketich.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Frketich, and nephew, Aaron; his sons, Stephen G. Frketich (Susan) and Jason Frketich; his daughter, Samantha Frketich (Paul); four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He will be remembered for his independent spirit and his love of nature.

Honoring his wishes, there will be no services. Stephen chose to donate his body to medical research, continuing to help others even after his passing.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
