New Castle, PA - Susan Cavallo, 88, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of May 28, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Nov. 4, 1937, in New Castle, Sue was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lena DiMuccio DeCaprio.

On April 28, 1962, Sue marred her beloved husband, Anthony Cavallo Sr. Anthony preceded her in death March 23, 2008.

In the early years, Sue had worked as a beautician. She then worked at Tuckers Bakery and Tic Toc Market.

Sue was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. She was very loving and giving person and could often be found volunteering at the St. Vitus Food Pantry.

Sue also enjoyed cooking baking and crocheting. A loving mother and grandmother, Sue's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially during the holidays.

Sue is survived by her three sons, Anthony Cavallo Jr., Ralph N. Cavallo and John P. Cavallo (Crystal); her sister, Linda Deep (Mike) and her granddaughter, Brook Ariel Cavallo.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sue was preceded in death by her infant son, Brian; and her sister, Justine Makarevich.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church, with Father Benjamin Barr officiating. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial cntributions may be made to Holy Spirit Food Pantry, 910 S. Mercer St., New Castle, PA 16101.
