New Castle, PA - Thressa "Terri" M. Anderson, 91, of Edinburg, passed away the evening of April 10, 2026, at QLS in New Castle.

Born Dec. 27, 1934, in Hillsville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Nick and Anna Luca Augustine.

Thressa was a 1953 graduate of Bessemer High School.

She was one of New Castle's finest waitresses for over 50 years. She served the community at several different locations, including Hamed's Lounge, Frengel's and Ladies of the Dukes.

Mrs. Anderson had many passions, such as crocheting, reading, cooking and studying the Bible and teaching others.

What she was best known for was her open-door hospitality and her pride in her Southern Italian roots. She organized all her family gatherings and provided entertainment for all by playing her accordion.

Mrs. Anderson was a devoted member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in New Castle.

Thressa is survived by her daughter, Peggy Lee Johnson (Gary) of Edinburg; one son, Michael Anderson (Teri) of New Castle; two grandchildren, Rich "RJ" Johnson (Rhonda) of New Castle and Nicole Maniedeo (Nath) of Vero Beach, Florida; and her sister, Doris Letera (Jim) of New Castle

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her brother, Joe Augustine.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2020 Willow Way
