Violet A. Anderson, 85, of 518 E. Reynolds St. passed away the morning to Dec. 24, 2017, at her residence.

Violet was born Sept. 17, 1932, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Ann Marie Scheffler Brenner. Mrs. Anderson was of the Lutheran faith.

Mrs. Anderson will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Violet enjoyed playing bingo, and all different card games. She also enjoyed going on trips to local casinos. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Violet is survived by her three sons, Charles B. (Carla) Anderson, Scott A. Anderson and Todd W. (Jean) Anderson, all of New Castle; three brothers, Michael (Fran) Brenner and Larry (Kathy) Brenner, both of New Castle, and David (Kathy Burkes) Brenner of Beaver Falls, Pa.; sister, Nancy Miller of West Middlesex, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by a daughter, Ileen Clark; son, William Hall; brother, Richard Brenner; and niece, Michelle Brenner.

Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St.

A funeral and committal service will be held at 8 p.m. following visitation in the funeral home. Rev. Sean Walter, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, will officiate.
