Virginia R. Fosnaught, 94, of New Castle, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at Haven Convalescent Home following an extended illness.

Born April 24, 1930, in Donora, she was the daughter of the late Dorin Huffman and Myrtle Cox. She was married to Charles D. "Chuck" Fosnaught for 49 years when he passed away July 5, 1996.

Virginia was a member of the 1st Church of God on Euclid Avenue in New Castle, the G.A.R and the Beaver Falls Elks where she crocheted lap robes for veterans. She was honored by the Beaver Falls Elks as Citizen of the Year. She enjoyed traveling and time spent with her family.

Survivors include three grandsons, Charles (Kristi) and Brent Maggi, both of Wampum, and Timothy Maggi, of Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Rachel, Madeline, Cayden, and Devin Maggi; and two sisters, Grace McCarthy of Beaver Falls and Norma Fisher of Ellwood City.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Maggi; son, Dale Fosnaught; two brothers, Bill and Albert Lauderbaugh; and her sister, Margaret Foltz.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum.

Funeral services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bill Hunley officiating.

Interment will follow in Slippery Rock Church Cemetery.
