New Castle - Wayne A. Cross, 75, of New Castle, died Sunday, March 29, 2026, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 3, 1950, in New Castle, a son of the late Albert and Bertha (Hogue) Cross.

He married Deborah L. (Cook) Cross, on Nov. 21, 1992. She survives at home.

Wayne worked for Rockwell International as a spring plant machine operator for 20 years.

He enjoyed going to car shows and cruises, eating french fries, the outdoors and doing yard work.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joshua and Kevin Cross of Florida; four grandchildren; one stepson, Michael DiMuccio and his wife, Angela, and their two daughters, Isabella and Emilee of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two nieces, Katie and Maggie Cook; one nephew, Randy Hogue and his wife, Angela; and great-nephew, John Anthony "JA" Quahliero.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Doris M. Hogue and her husband, Tom; and his father- and mother-in-law, Joseph Cook Sr. and Delores "Dee" Cook.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave. A funeral service will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
