William J. Anderson, 59 of New Castle passed away peacefully March 7, 2018, at UPMC Jamison Hospital.

Born April 2, 1958, in Jamestown, New York, Bill was the son of the late James and Dorothy Anderson.

Bill married Lucille Anderson on May 26, 2012.

Bill's love for the outdoors carried through to his job with Hilliard's Logging. He worked in the woods as a logger and also as a supervisor. He enjoyed his job and was happiest in the woods.

His family was the most important thing in his life, dropping whatever he was doing to go and help wherever he was needed. He passed on his love for the Lord to his family as well, reading his Bible regularly.

Although he will be dearly missed by his family, they are comforted in knowing he is now with his Lord.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his wife Lucy; his children, Curtis Anderson and his wife Heidi, Ashley Runser and husband Larry, and Trevor Anderson and his wife Ressie; stepchildren, Christopher Pell and his wife Jessica, Steven Pell and his wife Brianna, and Rebecca Churchill and her husband Jon; grandchildren, Austin and Katelyn Rose; numerous stepgrandchildren; and sisters, Brenda Pattison, Ruth Anderson, Kathy Francis and husband Bill, and Sarah Aldich.

Bill was welcomed into Heaven by his parents; a sister, Jamie Anderson; and brother-in-law, Tom Pattison.

Family will receive friends at the West Unity Community Church, 400 Unity Road, Harrisville, Pa., on Friday, March 9, 2018, from 5 p.m. until the funeral service at 6 p.m. Rev. Boyd Smith will officiate the service. Visitation will also take place Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the Jamison McKinley Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville, Pa., from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a time of remembrances to follow at 11 a.m.
