William R. Fredell (Bill) Obituary

New Wilmington - With deep love and reverence, we announce the passing of William R. Fredell on Feb. 23, 2026, at the age of 78.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who leaves behind a legacy marked by faith in Christ and unwavering dedication to those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Susan Fredell; his three sons, their spouses and eight grandchildren, Joshua (married to Jocelyn, children Hunter and Layla), Jeremy (married to Samantha, children Charon and Mariana), and Travis (married to Amy, children Micah, Tait, Zoe, and Brant), all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Bill's devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and his guidance and presence will be deeply missed.

Bill grew up in Kane, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Kane High School. He continued his education at Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, New York, earning a degree in accounting.

A man of deep faith, Bill was dedicated to Christ and to his church community, finding purpose in serving, teaching, and providing discipleship to many throughout his life. He actively supported organizations and missionaries that shared the Gospel and cared for those in need. His faith was his foundation, guiding his actions and inspiring all who knew him.

Bill found joy in the simple pleasures of life and loved spending time outdoors — camping, kayaking, hiking or simply taking the dog (Oreo) for a walk. He cared deeply for his grandchildren and delighted in their many activities, including sporting events, dance recitals, band and orchestra concerts and witnessing them pursue their passions.

Bill's legacy of faith and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing in the days ahead.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, until the service at 4 p.m. at Living Word Church, 22 Victory Lane, New Wilmington, PA. Pastor Rob Cypher and Pastor Andrew Hedglin will officiate. Following the service, all are invited for the afternoon meal at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Mission Fund of the church.
