William "Bill" Daniels Gregg, 79, of Slippery Rock (Worth Township), passed away at Grove Manor, Grove City, on Jan. 9, 2023.
He was born April 9, 1943 in Straw Pump, Pennsylvania (Westmoreland County), to William J.R. Gregg and Margaret Raygor Gregg.
Bill graduated from Norwin High School in 1961. He then graduated from Robert Morris University in 1971.
He married Rita Lee Myers on Oct. 11, 1968.
Bill was of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He worked as an accountant with the Oliver Realty company in Pittsburgh for many years until his retirement. Bill greatly enjoyed sled dog racing, watching NASCAR and golfing.
Survivors include his wife, Rita; daughter, Ruth L. Gregg of Verona, Pennsylvania; sister, Alice G. McIntosh of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, PA. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023. Family and friends may gather to visit from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Michael J. Fox Foundation and Brother's Brother Foundation in Pittsburgh.
