William Guy Hollencamp Obituary

William Guy Hollencamp, 66, of Wampum passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Heritage Valley-Beaver following a brief illness.

Born March 12, 1957, in New Castle, he was the son of the late William B. and Delores Stewart Hollencamp.

Bill graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976.

He previously worked for Smith Paving and currently worked at the Ellwood City Forge in maintenance.

He was an active member of Park Gate Baptist Church, where he loved to sing in the choir.

Some of his interests were gardening, cutting firewood, and watching the Pirates, whom he loved.

William donated his blood platelets and plasma through the American Red Cross.

His most cherished time was spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 43 years, Catherine Fisher Hollencamp; two daughters, Jodie (Artie) Christou of Wampum and Joy (Nicholas) Bender of New Castle; son, James (Caitlin) Hollencamp of Enon Valley; two sisters, Sondra (David) Williams of Beaver Falls and Mariann Hollencamp of Ellwood City; two brothers, Larry (Pauline) and David (fiancée Lisa McCutchen) Hollencamp, both of Ellwood City; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Rose Ferrante Hollencamp, who raised him; and his infant sister.

Visiting hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum.

The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Park Gate Baptist Church with his Pastor Zach Fry officiating.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
