New Castle - William "Eugene" Shiderly, age 86, of New Castle passed away Feb. 9, 2025, at UPMC Jameson.

He was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Enon Valley to the late William and Irma Harman Shiderly.

Eugene served in the U.S. Army and was an active member of the American Legion.

Along with his son, Mark, he owned and operated William E. Shiderly Construction for over 50 years.

Eugene is survived by two sons, Bill (Shannan) Shiderly and Todd (Patty) Shiderly; and his grandchildren, Madison, Madalynn, Alexis and Billy. Along with his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne (Shulack) Shiderly, whom he married on June 18, 1966; and his son, Mark Shiderly.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak St. in Bessemer, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Legion or the American Cancer Society.
