William D. Zeigler, 86, of Hollow Road, Shenango Twp. passed away at his residence the morning of July 6, 2016.

William was born in New Castle on March 26, 1930 to the late William J. and Hazel Irene Getrost Zeigler. He married the former Reta M. Nycum who survives at home. They were married 65 years.

William retired from Penn Power as a Technician after 32 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He's also known as Lawrence County's premier Christmas tree farmer the past 43 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Renee Z. Bullano of Richmond, VA. and Lisa M. Bradley of Streetsboro, OH.. one son, Mark D. Zeigler of New Castle; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, JoAnn Ryan of Hemet, CA.; and a brother, Dow Zeigler of Banning, CA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter and his brother Merle Zeigler.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 am to 11 am at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 North Jefferson Street.

Funeral services will follow at 11 am at the funeral home and will be conducted by Rev. Jeff MacKay, pastor of Harmony Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
